OPERE, ARCHIVIO E RICERCA

Artist’s archive

In Pescara, beside the CLAP Museum devoted to Andrea Pazienza, the Archive preserves the artistic collection donated by Sandro Visca to the Fondazione Pescarabruzzo. Open to the public, it forms part of the Foundation’s network of museums and study centres: a place to discover the work of Visca, one of the teachers who most influenced Pazienza’s development.

01 / THE WORKS

Forms that inhabit space.

Six areas reveal the breadth of his work: paintings, sculptures, tapestries and drawings create a journey through materials, figures and landscape.

From the performance Un cuore rosso sul Gran Sasso, rooted in the landscape of Abruzzo, to the Teatrini, small worlds between fable and legend; from the Pupazze, figures between human life and the environment, to the sewn tapestries, where tradition meets experimentation.

02 / THE SPACES

A space for recollection.

Biographical and bibliographical documents, digital materials and a library devoted to contemporary art accompany the works. The collection offers resources for scholars, art enthusiasts and visitors.

Display structures designed for the Archive, monitors, projectors and touchscreens accompany the visit. The digitised collection can be explored through different media, opening further ways to study and encounter the works.

03 / THE DETAILS

Closer to the material.

Colours, surfaces and reflections change the scale of the gaze. Details invite attention to what a broader view only hints at.

The exploration continues.
